Home Economics Club
Would you like to learn some skills that will help you get along in this world? Come to the Home Economics Club!
We will begin meeting on Thursday, August 27th in Mrs. Philipp’s room E110. Meetings will take place most Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30. Questions? Please see Mrs. Philipp.
Do you like to sing? Jazz Choir auditions will be held this FRIDAY, August 28th, in the choir room from 2:30-4:30.
You must prepare a jazz standard solo with a scat, sing the national anthem, perform a pitch memory test, and complete a short sight-singing exercise. Audition results will be posted the morning of Monday, August 31st on the choir room door. Rehearsals will be held every Friday from 2:30-3:30.
Do you like to play chess? Like last year, Cocopah will have a Chess Club again!
We will meet every Thursday starting Aug. 27th in Mrs. Parker’s room B203 from 2:20 – 3:30. All skill levels are welcome. Even if you have never played chess before – you should come to Chess Club. We will have a new lesson, and then we will play chess. At the end of the semester, students with the most wins, or the most improves will win a trophy like this one! Lessons include piece value, movement, tactics, and more. If you have questions, see Mrs. Parker. We’ll see you at Chess Club on THURSDAY!
Food and Fellowship
Food and Fellowship will meet today (Monday) after school at 2:20 to 3:15 in C101.

Do you love Science?
Many of you have been asking about Science Olympiad – and when will it officially start to meet… our coaches will need to attend a Workshop in September and more information on how you can join Science Olympiad will follow then.
Anime & Manga Club
Do you love the artwork of Anime & Manga? Then you’ll want to come to the Anime & Manga Club on September 25th in the Art Room D109. No application is necessary and any 6th, 7th or 8th grade students may join.
Do you like to recommend books, do you like to read and discuss books? Join the Book Club starting September 25th right after school in the library. Help write book reviews, video tape books for the announcements, share good books with friends and have a lot of fun together.
